Annually Mityana hospital registers hundreds of HIV/AIDS patients and most of them have children. When the parents die, it’s usually the responsibility of the older children to take care of their younger brothers and / or sisters .Sometimes they are absorbed into other families and many of these care-givers are overburdened and often lack the socio-economic capacity to provide adequate care and support for these children. One in four households in Uganda foster at least an orphan by providing for health, shelter, nutrition, education and other needs. It is important that the children attend school continue to grow into healthy and responsible participants in society.
Many children who are orphaned are forced to live on the streets or under exploitative conditions of labour, sexual abuse, prostitution and other forms of abuse. Many live in child-headed households where they have to fend for themselves and support their younger siblings. Some of these children are infected with HIV either through mother-to-child transmission or through defilement.

By sponsoring a child through Kabira community Development and Child support Organisation ( KACODE) you have the opportunity to change the life of a child in desperate need of alternative family care.
Your monthly gift will help these orphaned children by fully supporting them with schooling, food, medical care, clothing and scholastic materials, and beddings through our home based care program.

Every effort is made to help each child develop in every area of their life such as social, emotional, physical and spiritually. Many of these children are orphaned, out of school, are heading households, are living in absolute poverty, they are living on the streets, while at KACODE  they are re-instated back in school, taught life skills and vocational skills to enable them realize their full potential. Together we can uplift the lives of these children. Are you an individual or organization with a heart to help? Join hands with us.
